R.C. should be the first Young Living essential oil blend that I used. I was having a cough for weeks, and I got this R.C. mixed with carrier oil from my aunt. I rub it on the back of my ears the night before I sleep. And I just get better the next morning. Honestly, I think I only used it for three times to say goodbye to the cough.
Whenever my daughter had a nose blocked, I will rub some diluted R.C. on her chest and back, it helps. She can sleep her night through.
I have also been using it on my son who is having asthma problem. For his case, I apply diluted R.C. on the Vita Flex points on his feet at night. Sometimes, I do diffuse R.C. in his bedroom.
The ingredients include: 3 types of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Radiata and Eucalyptus Citriodora), Cypress, Peppermint, Black Spruce, Lavender, Myrtle, Marjoram and Pine. It is a good essential oil blends to keep at home. It is useful for cough, sinus and cold.
I love to diffuse it on a cold day too, it is refreshing and make one feel cozy squeezing oneself in the sofa or bed.

Joy™
I bought this Joy™ because of its name and I fall in love with it. It is a wonderful blend that can be used at any place. Just like its name, it uplifts the playroom and bring joys to people; suitable to diffuse during gathering; it transform your bedroom into a welcoming, floral-infused retreat; it brighten your dull desk at work and uplift your midday at the office; it can comfort you in the shower after a tough day.
I love its floral and citrus aroma which comes from bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lemon, Coriander, Tangerine, Jasmine, RomanChamomile, Palmarosa and rose.
Tips: Apply a drop on ur wrist, and it could be your natural perfume.

Gift Idea
Personally, diffuser and some essential oil is great gift for many occasions and celebrations.
For example, I have just recently bought a diffuser with DiGize, R.C., PanAway and lavender for my parents as parents' day gift. A gift that bringing happiness and health for my beloved parents.
A diffuser would be great gift for house warming party too. It would be more than just a decoration which is also a diffuser, humidifier and air purifier. It would be perfect to add on one essential blend such as Joy, Abundance and etc.
Of course, it would be a good birthday gift for your close friends where you can choose an essential oil that you think suit him/her. How sweet!
There are a few types of diffuser that you can choose from.
For Dewdrop™ Diffuser, Desert Mist Diffuser and Aria Ultrasonic Diffuser, you will get a better offer through Premium Starter Kit. Also, join Young Living as A Member to get wholesale price when you purchase any diffuser and essential oil online.

P I M P L E S
😭
I have a bad month, period is delayed to the last day of June and pimples all over my face all of a sudden. It was as bad as when I was pregnant.
I got no choice and decided to apply Melaleuca Alternifolia Essential Oil or more known as Tea Tree oil. The reason why I am reluctant to use it is due to its sharp astringent smell, but it is the #1 essential oil for pimples. Anyway, I apply it neat on the pimples. I bought it in the middle of July, and finally the pimples breakout is under control after 2 weeks using it.

My favourite way of diffusing essential oils at home
I believe everyone have their way to diffuse their favourite EO. I want to share with you my favourite way of diffusing EO at my home. Different EO and mist option I choose depends on the occasions or purposes as well as room size.
What are my favourite essential oil to diffuse?
For refreshing purpose:
Lemon Essential Oil (Singles)
Citrus Fresh Essential Oil (Singles)
Peppermint Essential Oil (Singles)
For sleep purpose:
Lavender Essential Oil(Singles)
RC Essential Oil (Blends)
For breathing purpose:
Eucalyptus Radiata Essential Oil (Singles)
RC Essential Oil (Blends)
Which Diffuser I use?
I am using Young Living Dewdrop Diffuser.
How many drop of essential oil I put?
6 drops of the essential oil (water level: max)
Which mode of Mist option I choose?
It depends on the room size. I choose5-hour mode (high) in the living room, 8-hour mode (medium) in master bedroom, and 10-hour mode (intermittent 1 min on/1 min off) in smaller bedroom.
Why do you need a dewdrop diffuser?
If you need a reason, there would be ONE solid reason for you.
How many hours do you spend in an aircon room daily? Do you know that when aircon provides you a comfortable and cooling environment, it is also creating a dry environment? Dryness can lead you to many problems such as:
- dry skin
- dry throat
- breathing problems
- chapped lips
I work at the office with air-conditioned on 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and sleep in air-conditioned room every night. I am having dry skin despite of covering myself with thick blanket trying to lock the moisture under my skin, spending an awesome amount on moisturizer for hydration purpose, but still can't solve the problem. Sometimes in the middle of the night, I will awake from a cough due to dry throat. I always have chapped lips, but I can solve this by applying a layer of Vaseline petroleum jelly on my lips before sleep.
Even though aircon brings so much problems, I still can't live without an aircon living in Malaysia. Now, if I tell you that there is one way to improve this situation, will you want to know? You need a humidifier.
When I first decided to purchase the Premium Starter Kit, this is one of the reasons I consider. For the price of RM750, I get to solve a few problems. The dewdrop diffuser is a humidifier, atomizer and aroma diffuser. At times, you can add essential oil to create the spa environment. On normal days, you can just treat it as a humidifier.
It works very well for me. I do not cough in the middle of night anymore, this is immediate effect. I am confident that it will improve my dry skin in the long run.

Diffuser blends for beginner
When I first got my diffuser, the very first eo that I added is lavender essential oil.
After a few nights, I decided to play around with the essential oils based on the recipe I found online. So far, I have yet to come across any combination that I love very much, and sometimes, I created some blends that my kids dislike, haha!
And then I start to google, and found out that I make a few mistakes.
#1 I did not test the aroma before I diffuse them.
#2 I did not synergize the essential oils together first when creating the blends.
So, please remember, if you are using the diffuser blends u get from reliable source, first thing to do is, remove the cap of the essential oils, hold them near to your nose and waft them back and fourth. This is to test whether you like the aroma.
After that, you may put the drops of essential oil into the 1ml sampling bottle (which comes together in your Premium Starter Kit). Shake well, and again, waft it under your nose, if the aroma is exactly what you like, you may drop it in your diffuser. Otherwise, you might want to test the aroma with other essential oil or just simply add 1 or 2 drops of the essential oil to meet your preference.
I referred to Young Living Blog post about five perfect pairs diffuser blends. I think this is a good start.

If you have purchased the Young Living Premium Starter Kits (PSK), you can try to play around with the first 2 pairings:
Thieves + Lemon
Peppermint + Lavender
Try it out and find out the exact drops of each essential oils that you love in your diffuser blend.

How to use Essential Oils?
My first impression on essential oils is that the aroma when it is diffused, it does not attract me much, because I am sensitive to smell. Normally I will walk away from stalls or shop selling this.
I am using dewdrop diffuser which function as a humidifier, atomizer, and aroma diffuser. It is easy to use, just add 5-8 drops of essential oil in the water, and press the power button to turn it on.
Alternately, if you do not have a diffuser, just take a drop of the essential oil and rub it in your palms, then cup your hands around your nose and mouth and inhale slowly.
I also put it on cotton wool ball and keep inside wardrobe and drawers.
Besides, I also get my kids to rub eo on the bottoms of their little feet.
If you are a beginner like me, do remember LESS IS MORE! 😉
So, essential oils can be used aromatically through a diffuser.

But after I get to know more about essential oils, only I realize that essential oils can be used topically too.
Yes, I dilute the essential oils in dropper bottles / roller bottles and apply it on my face. Just like applying face serum, you may refer to my DIY face serum post.Besides, I also get my kids to rub eo on the bottoms of their little feet.
In fact, essential oil can be used internally too.

Fun session: Melt and Pour Soap Making
It has always been on my wish list to go for soap making class since 1 or 2 years back. But I never enroll myself to any due to the reason that I have no time.
And then I do not know why with essential oils, I went on to google how to make soap, then I start to look around and ask around to see where to buy the ingredients. There, I discover there is this melt and pour soap which is as easy as making jelly.
Called up my sister-in-law and asked her if she is interested, she likes the idea. So, we went on to source for the ingredients. All we need to buy is melt and pour soap base because we already have the essential oil to replace the scented oil.
I bought a pot for this purpose as I foresee that I will have a few session to play with it.
The steps:

Endoflex for the women...Cheers!
Yes, a great essential oil that I got as a reward from Young Living in May 2019 promo with purchase of 190 PV. If you are wonder am I promoting Young Living, my answer is in the previous post.
Of course, the gift does cheer me up!
Endoflex essential oil is a proprietary blend of Spearmint, Geranium, German Chamomile, Sage, Myrtle, Nutmeg that supports hormones including thyroid and endocrine system and overall body.
I filled up my 8ml roller bottle with carrier oil and add 4 drops of endoflex essential oil. I rolled it on my lower back, and give it a rub, I can feel a bit warm and almost immediately the soreness on my back gone. I know right, I always make the essential oil sounds like magical and unreal, but it really happened to me. Now it is my favourite oil. I rub it on my back using the roller bottle every night. It is that convenient.

Dilution recommendation for KIDS and BABIES
I last posted about diluting lavender and peppermint essential oils for my kids. I thought it will be good to share with you the dilution recommendation I read up from Young Living Blog on Guide to diluting essential oils for kids and babies
Based on the dilution recommendation, the ratios are:
Age 0 - 1: 8 drops carrier oil to 1 drop essential oil;
Age 2 - 6: 3 drops carrier oil to 1 drop essential oil;
Age 7 - 11: 1 drop carrier oil to 1 drop essential oil; and
Age 12+: Full labeled concentration
To further read-up, you may visit Essential Oils in the Nursery
My dilution for my kids is heavier compare to the ratio above because I always keep in mind that less is more especially when my family and I have just started to use the essential oils, so all of them are new to us, it is better to be on the safe side to begin with less.
I also take the advice to test the diluted essential oil on inner wrist before using it. This is to see if the individual is allergic to it.

Rubbing essential oil on the bottoms of the feet for my kids
When I watched 《妻子的浪漫旅行2》,I noticed that one of the wives, who is also one of my favourite actress since young, in the show is rubbing some kind of liquid on her soles every morning and before bed. I am curious to find out what is she doing or using.
I asked around and even googled about it, finally I got the answer, it is essential oil that she is rubbing on her bottoms of feet every day.
Sometimes, things just happen at the right time. Soon after that, I was invited to attend the essential oil sharing session. Haha.
And, the fact that my favourite actress is using essential oil is definitely one of the reason why I grow fond of essential oils immediately.
I googled and found out that our feet soles has larger pore than any other part of the body, and the essential oil can penetrate through our skin into the body faster.
I thought of improving my kids wellness through essential oils and this is the easiest way for me to use it on them.
I diluted lavender (3 drops) in carrier oil in an 8ml roller bottle to make this kid's friendly "sleep well magic potion", a name given just for fun. I get my kids to rub the oil on their feet soles every night before bedtime to calm them down and get good sleep at night.
I also diluted peppermint (3 drops) in carrier oil in an 8ml roller bottle to create "wake up magic potion" for my kids. It is for refreshing and focus purpose.

I changed my son's magic potion at night to eucalyptus radiata diluted in carrier oil, a gift from my auntie. I rub it on the lung and chest area shown on the foot reflexology chart, hoping to improve his asthma symptom.
For my daughter, I rub the oil on the colon area, hoping that it will improve her digestion and put on some weight.
Just a bit sharing of how I use the essential oil on my kids who are aged 8yo and 11yo this year. You may refer to dilution ratios for kids and babies for more inforamtion.

Which Essential Oils that I am using?
I did mention it in my post Getting to know about Essential Oil that I started off with doTERRA Introductory Kit which contain Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon Essential Oils.
After a few weeks trying out, I decided to get the Young Living Premium Starter Kit with Dewdrop. Why Young Living and not doTERRA? Well, the most valid reason would be my sister-in-law, cousin and aunties are using Young Living essential oils, we can easily share information with each others. I did not do any serious studies to compare which essential oils are better except for the pricing. But, of course, their Seed To Seal® promise also telling me that the quality and purity of the essential oils that I get is of good standard. As a consumer, no doubt pricing is always a concern but if I can afford a slightly higher price and good quality and reputation, why not? We should always treat ourselves better. Anyway, this is just some sharing, you may not agree with me. Out there in the shopping malls, there are a lot more other brands of essential oil available with different price range which you can choose from. I wrote this post not to tell you which essential oils that I am using and in case you are wonder why the one you got if different from what I shared here, the reason could be even though they are the same lavender essential oils, but because they are from different source, the purity and quality could be different.

Removing sticker easily with Lemon Essential Oil
When the kids are young, they love to stick stickers everywhere, on the cupboard, wardrobe, drawers, bed frame, bottles, etc. After a while, the stickers are difficult to be removed. But by dripping 1 or 2 drops of lemon essential oil on a cotton pad and rub on the stickers, you will see magic, the stickers will be removed nicely without any stain.
This is a very good trick. Not sure how many times I cracked my finger nails when removing the stickers on certain bottle or container which I want to keep. Now, this can be easily done. Yay!

My LOVE - Peppermint Essential Oil in my shampoo
Peppermint Essential Oil is one of my favourite essential oils because of its scent and cooling sensation.
I always wonder where to get the saloon shampoo with minty sensation. I never go search for minty shampoo seriously though.
Then on the day I was introduced to essential oil and get to know there is this peppermint essential oil, I know I must own it! To tell the truth, I right away know that I shall add it in my shampoo.
First time I use it, I pour the shampoo on my palm and add a drop of peppermint essential oil and use it right away. I love the minty sensation on my scalp. It is so refreshing. However, I am afraid that I am applying too much of it. So I pour out some shampoo (the amount is about enough for 5 wash) and add a drop of peppermint essential oil to it. I do not add it directly into my shampoo bottle because the bottle is made of plastic and my shampoo is not the organic type. I dare not to keep it long, but I want to dilute it further to be used, that's why I dilute 1 drop of peppermint oil in the amount of shampoo enough for about 5 wash.
I use it once or twice in a week. After 3 weeks of using it, I noticed the pimples hidden along my hairline is getting less. Scalp also getting healthier and not so oily.
I really wish that everyone can use essential oil and so that I can recommend this to everyone of you.
But sadly no, I was told that some people are allergic to essential oil. So please test it on your inner wrist first, it is better to test using the diluted one first.

Lavender Cotton Wool Balls
My husband and I spent Labour Day 💪 to reshuffle the furniture in my kids bedroom to make it more spacious.
After all the moving, we did one round of cleaning up too. Looking at the tidy and clean room💫, I thought of adding aroma by dripping 5 drops of lavender essential oil onto cotton-wool balls. I chose to use lavender essential oil because it can create soothing and relaxing atmosphere in the bedroom. Since my kids bed frames comes with drawers, I put the cotton-wool balls in the drawers. It can helps to repel insects too and give the clothing kept in the drawers a flora scent which replaced the synthetic air-freshener.
Now, whenever I walk into the room, I will be greeted with a light breeze of flower scents.
The lavender cotton wool balls will last for a week and you will need to drip some more essential oil to them.

Adding Lavender Essential Oil in My Skincare Regime
Lavender essential oil is one of the first 3 bottles I bought.
The reason I wanted it because of the two properties in it: anti-inflammatory and antibacterial; and also its calming quality.
I always have acne problem even at the age of 30++. For my case, it is definitely not due to food, but stress and hormonal changes. My skin was in the most terrible state earlier this year. Breakouts on both sides of my cheeks, around the temples, my forehead and a few pimples on the nose and chin, creeping down on my neck. Yes, it was that bad until I almost want to go see doctor to ask for antibiotics. I have tried it before, when I was taking antibiotics, I noticed that my skin will get better.
I am the kind of person that could not stand the rough surface on my face, I will make sure I make it "smooth" by peeling off the dead skin or extract any pimples and blackheads by using my fingers. You can imagine the wounds and scars all over my face. Ouch!
That is why I am always looking for something that have the three properties: anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and calming.
I tried tea tree oil products out there, but it does not help, I do not know why, it could be due to other ingredients in the products that trigger my pimples. I stopped using them after a while because I do not like the smell smell of tea tree in the products.
On the first day I got it, I mix a drop in my normal moisturizer and gently rub it onto my face. I can immediately see the differences on my skin the next day. It dries up the wound and calm my skin effectively. However, I also notice that my skin seems dry. I can feel that my palms are dry too due to the direct application of the lavender essential oil.
What I do then is to dilute the 5 drops of lavender essential oil in 7ml carrier oil. Drip 1-3 drops to apply on the face and follow by moisturizer. After a week, I had a facial appointment, the beautician was surprised to find my acne suddenly in control. I told her what I used and she said just to note that essential oils are very concentrated, she suggested me to dilute it further so that it wont cause my skin become dry. As I noticed the effects and less breakouts, I no longer apply the diluted lavender essential oil to my whole face and on the spots only. After 3 weeks, I am now more confident to wear foundation without concealer to come to work. Most importantly, there is no longer feeling like volcanoes 🌋awaiting for the right time to erupt on my face. 😓 This is serious, no joke. 🙈 Lavender's calming quality really soothe my skin. Its anti-inflammatory also treats the wounds on my face and kills the bacteria due to my bad habit of touching my face every now and then.
💞 for lavender essential oil, within a month, I can see a lot of improvement it does to my skin.
Studying which essential oils to add on to my daily skincare routine and I will definitely update it here.
By the way, if you are interested to try out, here is where I get my essential oil from.
The reason I wanted it because of the two properties in it: anti-inflammatory and antibacterial; and also its calming quality.

Getting to know about Essential Oil
It was on a very fine day that my sister-in-law called me up to check with me whether I want to join her to attend a sharing session on Young Living Essential Oils organised by our relatives.
We were like saying this: if you want to go then I can go with you, and finally, I said let's just go together.
There, I was introduced to many different essential oils and their benefits.
To be honest, I am never a aromatherapy fan because I am 'sensitive' to aroma...to be precise synthetic aroma. Living for 30+ years and I have never finish a bottle of perfume or even cologne, or u named it eau de toilette. No air refresher in car, bedroom or toilet. I always choose the skincare with lightest scent if not possible to have fragrance free. All these so-called aroma make me dizzy. That is a little bit of me and aroma.
So, surprisingly during the sharing, I get to sniff many of the essential oils directly from the uncapped bottle. And the room is filled with diffused aroma of the essential oils. My body does not resist it. However, I still mentally prepared myself that there is big possibility I will get headache that night because of all the aroma I inhaled. No, I was wrong. I did not get any headache that night.
In fact, I spent the whole afternoon learning all about essential oils. How to the essential oils to our daily life activities to make life better and fun. Seriously, I am overwhelmed by the new knowledge I learn.
After the sharing, I continue to google about essential oils and talk to people who knows and using them to get more information.
After some comparison, I decided to get myself a few bottles to try out before buying the starter kit. Who knows, my body will resist it again, right? So fine. As a smart consumer, I compare the prices between doTERRA and Young Living, there is an obvious different. Despite the fact that deep down inside, I know I want the starter kit set from Young Living, but a Taurus is always a Taurus, I always spend money wisely. After so much consideration, I decided to get the introductory set from doTERRA to start off.
That is the beginning of my essential oil journey...
